At Chains Barrow, we believe in complete transparency with our customers. All product prices displayed on our website already include applicable UK taxes (VAT).

1. Tax Inclusion

All our listed prices are tax-inclusive, meaning that no additional VAT or hidden charges will be added at checkout.
Our stock is stored and shipped from our London warehouse, and all UK taxes are already paid in advance.

2. Free Taxes – No Extra Charges

When shopping with Chains Barrow, the price you see is the final price you pay.
There are no import duties, customs fees, or extra tax costs for customers within the United Kingdom..

3. Tax Documentation

If you require a tax invoice for your order, please contact us with your order number, and we’ll provide a VAT-compliant receipt promptly

CHains Barrow Shipping Policy

This Shipping Policy applies to all purchases made through Hains Barrow (Chains Barrow) at our German location.

 

1. Shipment Processing Time (Bearbeitungszeit)

 

The shipment processing time is the duration required to prepare your order for shipment, including verifying stock, quality checking, packaging, and handing it over to our shipping carrier.

Standard Processing Time 1 business day
Processing Cut-Off Time All orders placed before 12:00 PM (noon) CET/CEST on a business day will begin processing the same day. Orders placed after this time will begin processing on the next business day.
Business Days Monday to Friday, excluding German national and regional public holidays observed in Hennef (Sieg).

Note on Weekends & Holidays: Orders placed on Friday after 12:00 PM (noon) or during the weekend will begin processing on the following Monday.

 

2. Shipping Rates and Delivery Estimates

 

Delivery time is the period from the moment the carrier picks up the package until it arrives at your specified address.

We offer the following shipping methods, with calculated rates displayed at checkout:

  • Total Delivery Time: Your total wait time is the Processing Time + Delivery Time. (E.g., for German domestic orders: 1 business day processing + 1-3 business days delivery = 2-4 business days total.)
  • Delivery Guarantee: The estimated delivery times are provided by the carriers and are an estimate only. Hains Barrow is not responsible for delays caused by the shipping carrier, customs inspections, or force majeure events.

 

3. Shipment Confirmation and Order Tracking

 

  1. Shipping Confirmation: Once your order has been processed and shipped, you will receive a Shipment Confirmation email.
  2. Tracking Number: This confirmation email will contain the tracking number(s) and a link to track your package's journey directly from the carrier's website. The tracking number should be active within 24 hours of receiving the email.

 

4. Shipping Restrictions

 

We currently ship to the countries listed in the checkout area. We do not currently ship to P.O. boxes (Postfach) or APO/FPO addresses, as a physical street address is required for delivery confirmation and security.

 

5. Customs, Duties, and Taxes (International Shipping)

 

  1. For shipments outside the European Union (Non-EU), you may be subject to import duties, taxes, and fees (including customs and clearance fees) once the shipment reaches your country.
  2. The recipient is the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the destination country.
  3. All customs duties, taxes, and any associated fees are the sole responsibility of the Customer and are not included in the item price or shipping cost. We recommend contacting your local customs office for information regarding these charges.

6. Damages, Lost Packages, and Issues

 

  1. Damages: If your order arrives damaged, please document the damage (photos of the packaging and the item) and contact us immediately at chainsbarrow@outlook.com We will work with you to arrange a replacement or refund, subject to carrier investigation.
  2. Lost Packages: If the carrier's tracking information shows your package as lost, please contact us. We will initiate a trace with the carrier and, after the investigation period has concluded, either reship your order or issue a full refund.
  3. Liability: Under German law, the risk of loss or damage during shipment passes to the customer upon handover to the carrier only if the customer is not a consumer (B2B). For consumers (B2C), Hains Barrow bears the risk until the package is successfully delivered to you.
